Stuffed - Fiber Art Installation by Pat Kroth
Pat Kroth, SAQA member and fiber artist from Verona,WI will be creating an art installation "Stuffed" at the Anderson Arts Center in Kenosha,WI that will be on exhibit from January 27- March 3, 2019. The scope of the project will involve using work pants (jeans) stuffed with clothing. Students from the area will be helping with the project. The artwork explores the notions of need, want, necessity, surplus, excess, and waste in our society. The clothing will be donated to Beacon Homeless Day Resource Center in Madison WI https://thebeaconhelps.org/.
Pat is seeking donations of any clean serviceable clothing. Now is a good time to check your closet and pack up a few things. Clean usable jeans and long sleeved work shirts specifically welcome. All sizes. No shoes please. Resource centers are specifically requesting new packaged socks, t-shirts, and underwear for adults and children.
