As Roderick Kiracofe's quilt collection formed over the years, he began to see a theme emerging — the color red. The presence of red in a quilt was often the factor that made him decide “this is the one!” Roderick Kiracofe is an art collector, author, publisher, curator, and possesses an eye for beauty in all forms. His most recent publication, Unconventional & Unexpected: American Quilts Below the Radar 1950-2000, is a stunning collection of approximately 150 eccentric and extraordinary quilts made predominantly by anonymous quilters in the US during the second half of the 20th century.
