Local Color: Rails, Roads, & Rivers (SAQA Regional)

“Local Color: Rails, Roads, & Rivers” celebrates the range of metaphors evoked by human-built and nature-carved modes of movement and transportation and the people who build and/or use them.  Metaphors include connection, journey, coming and going, liquid vs solid, trips, and travels.  

Artists were encouraged to explore the varieties of meanings, images and experiences evoked by the theme and to interpret the theme in their own unique way.
