This quilt depicts the pathway I have had to navigate since 1985: treads and threads converge on a road I was forced to travel when a car hit me on my bike that year. Fractured bones were repeatedly reconstructed, and scars were stitched again and again, much like the layered process of making this personal and commemorative work.
