Heartbroken

To others, I seem like the same person they see every day. I look the same in the mirror. Today, I put on a brave face; I smile and go about my day. But inside, I’m crumbling, I’m crying. I have just lost my best friend, the love of my life, my favorite person in the world. This work uses line and color to explore the theme of hidden loss and the internalized pain of losing a loved one.
