This is one of my early solutions to wanting to draw on my fabric. I achieved the images and text by means of full coverage satin stitch embroidery. The title of this quilt is an excerpt from my journal. I had been haunted by this question for months after the death of a close friend in the downing of the KAL 007 flight by the soviets in 1983.
Commercially Dyed cotton fabric, polyester batting, cotton backing, embroidery floss
Hand embroidered, hand quilted, machine pieced.
