Janome to Sponsor Creative Force 2007:

May 1, 2007- Creative Force 2007, a Studio Art Quilt Associations, Inc. exhibition, is again being sponsored by Janome America in a hard-wall, gallery setting at the International Quilt Festival in Houston from November 1-5, 2007. Rebecca A.T. Stevens, consulting curator at the Textile Museum in Washington, DC, will be the juror. The exhibit space will hold 50 pieces, each 48” or larger in width. This will provide a great opportunity for larger pieces of art to be seen. Additionally, the artwork in the exhibition will be published in a catalog, which is also made possible through the generosity of Janome America. Kim Ritter is the curator.

The exhibition will travel and hang on pipe and drape at International Quilt Festival/Chicago April 11-13, 2008 in Rosemont, Illinois and International Quilt Festival/Summer July 25-27, 2008 in Long Beach, California. Other venues are being sought.
