Stef Francis Experimental Art Quilts
Start with your color choice of Stef Francis Experimental Pack that includes cotton velvet, cotton scrim, turban cotton, embroidery threads, colored wires, beads, sequins, copper foil & silk
throwsters waste fibers. Sonja will help you design an art quilt to suit your taste from landscape to abstract to a bowl of flowers. We¹ll make use of fabric fusible products to create more complex designs without expert sewing skills.

Stef Francis Ultra-Experimental Art Quilts
Start with your color choice of Stef Francis Experimental Pack that includes silk cocoons, Mulberry bark, skeleton leaves, silk rods, silk embroidery threads, & silk throwsters waste fibers. These less common materials will challenge your idea of how to create quilts. We will create textured art quilts by exploring uses for Mulberry bark, silk cocoons, & silk rods. Silk rods and cocoons lend themselves well to floral designs.

Batik Fabric Basics
Ever wondered what batik is all about, but thought that it sounded too complicated? This is your chance to experiment with new products that simplify the process and to try traditional hot wax batik.

Fabric Photo Memories
Transferring photographs to quilts & clothes as gifts or mementos has become increasingly popular. It is fun finding different ways to use pictures and different things to decorate. In this workshop we will try several techniques for copying photos to fabric so you can see which work best for different image types and which give the look you like.
