Discovering the Artist Within Through Quilts and Wearable Arts
Melinda’s lectures include a humorous look at the development of an artist as well as a showing of her award-winning wearable art fashions and Fabulous Fusible Flower art quilts; these quilts have the look of a painting using only fabric and thread. No paint. Sit back and enjoy a fun experience into the world of a quilts and wearable artist.

Fabulous Fusible Flower Workshops:
1 Day Class
This is the fusible technique that Melinda uses to create her beautiful flower quilts. A simple pattern is used in class to create a wonderful flower quilt. Renegade thread play is demonstrated.
2 -3 Day Class
The second day we get into the Renegade Thread Play which is a simple thread play technique that adds detail and sparkle to your flower quilt.
4 to 5 Day Retreat/Workshop
In this class we work from your own favorite flower photo. Melinda will show you how to translate your picture into a pattern and how to pick just the right colors to make your flowers look real. You can also work from one of Melinda’s limited edition patterns created especially for the retreat.
Thread Lace Workshop
1 Day Class
Melinda uses thread lace in many of her wearable arts. Learn how to make your own thread lace fabric to embellish your next wearable art. It’s fun and easy.
