The Ultimate Bead Retreat
You've heard them whispering from their vials, hanks and tubes. You've passed aisles of these beautiful wonders in the craft store. Those sparkling, glittering, and dazzling glorious beads are calling you to add them to your artwork. You feel the need to bead! This two-day workshop will give you the tools and techniques to begin your beading journey. Day One, you will become one with the beads, learning techniques such as running stitches for various sizes of beads, stop stitches and charm application, couching, bead collage and other raised beading stitches. On Day Two you will apply your new beading guru knowledge to two projects: Amoeba Art Pins and the Artful Needle Book.

Inspirational Springboard
In this 1-3 day workshop, students start with an excerpt of the written word: a line, quote,
verse, or poem to create an original, narrative statement art quilt. Class work includes mini lessons and individual workshop time. Quilters will apply tools to jump-start art quilt creation in new ways by layering meaning in their creations following a spontaneous process-based method of design. Mini lesson topics will include raw edge appliqué and couching, fusing, impromptu piecing, quilting ideas, basic beading and finishing techniques.
