Texas Quilt Museum Upcoming Exhibitions

The Texas Quilt Museum has a couple interesting exhibits from SAQA members coming up:

Artist Judith Content

April 2-June 28, 2015, Sue Benner: Circling the Square and
July 2-September 27, 2015, Intuitive Symmetry: Works on Silk by Judith Content.

The Texas Quilt Museum is located at 140 W. Colorado St., La Grange, Texas 78945. It opened in 2011 and is housed in two 19th-century buildings in the Historic District of La Grange. Its restoration has won both  Preservation Texas and Main Street awards. The Museum complex also includes a period Texas garden with a monumental 13’ x 85’ outdoor mural, Quilts: History in the Making, as its focal point. Learn more at www.texasquiltmuseum.org.

  1. As you know, I LOVE Valdani thread. I’ve aculatly been trying their 12wt hand dyes through my sewing machine and it’s working. Recently, I have been delving into the rayons and they are beautiful. The only reason I didn’t use them in my art is I didn’t want the sheen.
