My pieces include a broad range of techniques, including dyeing fabrics and thread, drawing, painting, collage, silk-screening, and block-printing, to name a few. Stitch is a very important element in my work, whether a piece is densely machine thread-painted or elements are high-lighted with hand embroidery.
My quilts have been shown in venues around the world, including the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY. I have several lectures that I give to quilt guilds- see the list (http://www.christinaerickson.com/lectures.html) - as well as teaching classes and making pieces on commission.
