Help Grow SAQA Exhibitions!

This year, SAQA shipped 664 quilts to 32 venues in 10 countries!

When SAQA exhibitions are transported around the globe, they inspire visitors, arouse emotions, provoke thought, and transform the world of art. All this happens from SAQA's current shipping center, a residential house in Ohio.

In a small storage room, up to 300 quilts at a time are carefully stored and prepared for shipping. Individual quilts are placed in a carpet-lined trunk on wheels which can weigh as much as 220 pounds. Each trunk must be carried awkwardly down a steep flight of stairs and lifted into a truck.

Additional space is needed for storage of publications, marketing materials, hanging rods, banners, SAQA store items, trunk show quilts, Benefit Auction quilts, and more. Deliveries of quilts and other shipments occur throughout the day. SAQA’s operations have taken over the living room, dining room, and basement of this residential family home.

Our shipping center is bursting at the seams. We need a larger, more efficient space.

The reality is, we have outgrown this small space to keep up with the reality of the many museum-quality exhibitions that we are now processing. We need a new exhibition shipping center, and we need your help to build it.

Will YOU help us grow SAQA's exhibitions and further advance the art quilt movement?
