Featured Artist - December 2015 Priscilla Stultz
I am a self-taught artist who continues to take classes to expand my knowledge whether it is learning a new technique or adding to my fine art knowledge. I make fiber art, wearable art clothing, fashion accessories, and fashion jewelry. The subjects for my fiber art range from representational to abstract. I use the camera lens as inspiration for my creations. I like to recycle, redesign, and repurpose garments and fabrics; it may be vintage kimono fabrics or surface altered fabrics.
I teach, give trunk shows, craft shows, quilt repair and commissions. I make remembrance quilts using the garments from the customer. I also do special order wearable art clothing and accessories.
I have seen my creations walk the runway, be exhibited in museums, quilt shows, art shows, on display at craft shows and for sale Many of my wearables have won ribbons and I created ensembles for the Bernina fashion show for several years. My fiber art has been published, purchased and displayed.
