Mountains and sky, rocks, wood and water mingle to create an intriguing, inspirational resource. We see and hear and taste the land that surrounds us.
To pull out the abstracted memories and piece them into rhythms that evoke a response is my primary goal.
Conversations and memories keep surfacing in my work.
I have often wondered if our conversations float up into the trees as we pass and get caught there to drift back down upon us like autumn leaves as we later walk that way again. If we are quiet and listen very closely we can hear snatches of them as we walk and remember.
Colors and natural images are a universal language and the conversations I have with these works are a constant, exhilarating challenge.
