What would we do without orange in our art? Orange is one of the happy colors and works in so many ways for us. We can use it in the smallest doses to pop a subject. It can be the main color, and it does everything in between.

. This scene is based on the artist photos. Commercial cotton prints and batiks were used for leaves and background. Birds and flowers were photo printed, and then thread painted. After free motion embroidery and quilting, textile inks were used to create shadows.
