I am fascinated by the way we constantly adapt to change and are continually reconfigured by our experiences and influences from the world around us. For this piece, I used shibori processes, dye baths, paint, and thread to layer an abstract landscape obscured by grass burs. I recently moved from concrete to grassland in the rural west, and the layers of landscape are still a novel and beautiful change.
