Eligibility: This is a national juried visual art competition and exhibition that is open to any artist who is a resident of the United States and is over the age of 18, working in two-dimensional media. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media works with a maximum depth of five inches; as well as other traditional or non-traditional two-dimensional media, excluding film, are welcome.
Juror: Kristen Chiacchia is the Executive Director and Chief Curator at Second Street Gallery, a 501(c) 3 art space in Charlottesville, Virginia. Prior to joining Second Street Gallery in September 2016, Chiacchia was Director at Edward Tyler Nahem Fine Art in New York, where she organized exhibitions of work by Ed Ruscha, Joan Mitchell, Hew Locke, Andres Serrano, Farideh Lashai and Pop Art and Abstract Expressionist Masters.
Submissions do not have to be ‘for sale’. For those that are ‘for sale’, the Gallery will take a 30% commission on any sale of work made during the length of the exhibition or for any sale resulting from the visibility of the work during the exhibition. Artwork that sells during the exhibition must hang in the gallery for the remainder of the show and Larkin Arts will ship to the buyer at the end of the exhibition period.Venue Info:
