• Quilt Festival Houston - October 2020
Deadline: February 29, 2020
What do you see when you look in the mirror? In this digital age, we cannot escape our own images, whether taken as a selfie or found on social media. Does our image reflect our individual identity or do we see what we are conditioned by society to see? We need to look beyond the mirror to see our strength of character, intelligence, creativity, skills and our potential to be even more than what can be reflected.
Premiere Exhibition Location
International Quilt Festival, Houston TX, October 2020
Andra F. Stanton, a retired psychotherapist, is currently writing about fiber art and fabric manipulation in Boulder, Colorado. She first investigated fiber art for her book, Zapotec Weavers of Teotitlán (Museum of New Mexico Press). She has gone on to explore other art forms, especially art quilting, surface design, mixed media, and dimension composition.
