This second Regional Trunk Show encourages members to showcase what they consider to be their defining style in a small format. There are no thematic restrictions for entries. Taken as a whole the exhibit will feature the diversity, talent, and industry of the SAQA MA/RI Region.
All members of SAQA MA/RI as well as second region members are encouraged to submit work.
All work must be available for travel from May 31, 2019 through July 1, 2021.
The first exhibit venue is the Franklin Public Library in Franklin, MA.
The trunk show will continue to travel to regional libraries, small galleries, exhibit rooms, and similar venues. It will also to be exhibited when available at the SAQA Booth at quilt shows, guild meetings, and SAQA regional meetings.
This trunk show is a non-juried showcase. All submitted works will be accepted.
The artist must be a SAQA member of the MA/RI region to enter. If MA/RI is your second region, you are also eligible to enter.
Size requirements or restrictions for artwork:
The size of the submitted work must be a 12” x 12” work of art, with a finished edge. All submitted pieces must meet the size requirements.
All artwork must meet the SAQA definition of an art quilt: The art quilt is a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure.
