While roaming around the Brimfield Antique show one summer, I stumbled across a pull-toy duck from the 1930s. The form and color appealed to me, and I started looking for more examples of these tiny pieces of art. Some of my collection is represented on this quilt. My original Vintage Duck sits in the middle of the quilt.
Materials
Commercial cottons and PFD cotton.
Techniques
I've been exploring ways of blending drawing with fiber art for quite some time. Here is one of my first attempts, using Pigma inks for the outline, and Jacquard textile paints for the color. Machine and hand-quilted.
