With memories of the horrendous ‘Black Summer’ habitat loss fresh in my mind, an aerial view of the West Australian wheat belt prompted a new perspective on small patches of green below. I reflected on the imposed geometry of human land use over organic and natural forms. Is it too late to rehabilitate these critically endangered, fragmented and scattered ecological communities which have been determined to be vital to the health of agricultural land?
