SAQA Auction 2008 – Call for One-Foot Square Donations

October 17, 2007 – Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) Auction 2008 - Call for One-Foot Square donations:

The SAQA Auction 2008 online reverse auction will start November 10, 2008, just in time for holiday gift-giving.  Auction proceeds help to support SAQA's exhibit catalogs and educational outreach programs.  SAQA Auction 2007 sold 139 pieces, raising $27,750.  The reverse auction works by setting an opening price ($750), which decreases each day.  SAQA Auction 2008 will have a low price of $75. 

Your support is needed.  If you would like to make a One-Foot Square for SAQA Auction 2008, the deadline for receipt of your donation is August 15, 2008.  All donated pieces will be posted on the SAQA website, with a link to the artist's web site.  Please create a label with your name, the title and the date.  Send the finished piece to: SAQA, P.O. Box 572, Storrs, CT 06268.

SAQA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt through education, exhibitions, professional development, and documentation.  With an active membership of 1,800 established and emerging artists, the artwork created by SAQA members can be found in both national and international exhibitions, galleries, museums and private collections.
