Concept: Lines Occurring Over Time
From our conception to our ending days, we go through a series of events that comprise our personal timeline. We are born tied to our mothers via a physical line, and quite often leave this world connected to medical lines. Lines mark off sports fields, parking spaces, carry electricity, and we "read between the lines". Lines can be large and permanent like the Grand Canyon, or fragile and fleeting like a delicate spider's web. All of these lines are created over a time span whether a few seconds or thousands of years. In this exhibit, you will have free creative license to explore/define your own interpretation of lines that occur over time. Each piece of artwork must incorporate at least one line that occurs over a period of time, either obvious or implied, as part of the creative design.

Europe & MIddle East Region
Exhibition Name: Wide Horizons III
Concept: Every 2 years since 2008
The expression Wide Horizons often evokes feelings of openness, exploration, experimentation, new work, new themes, new stories. But the phrase can also be interpreted as in-depth analysis of favorite subjects, seeing familiar things in a new light, pushing the boundaries of what we already do. Whatever the approach chosen, creativity rather than mere technical skill, and commitment to the art form, should be foremost.
