Creative Force 2010 Information for Venues
Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) presents our newest exhibition, Creative Force 2010, premiering in November 2010. This exhibit explores the best of SAQA, giving the viewer an extraordinary opportunity to study the styles, themes, and talent from a pool of 45 top fiber artists. Chunghie Lee, the exhibition’s juror, has drawn from her own considerable artistic talents and international experience to create a challenging and entertaining presentation. Please consider hosting this special exhibition between December 2010 and December 2012.
The art quilt is an emerging art form that paints with thread and sculpts with fabric, pushing the boundaries of fine art with new materials, techniques, and interpretations. We are extremely proud that The National Endowment for the Arts is supporting this new art form with a generous grant to SAQA, making it possible to bring Creative Force 2010 one step closer to the mainstream of the art-loving public.
Hosting this exhibition would be an opportunity to provide a provocative and stimulating museum experience for your members and to reach a much wider audience. SAQA exhibitions routinely draw enthusiastic crowds and bring increased revenues and press coverage for the museums that host them. Fiber art is truly international as our artists in Creative Force 2010 come from Canada, France, Hungary, United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Netherland, and the United States.
SAQA members who live in your area can provide educational docent training, workshops, and lectures to support the exhibition’s run.
